Dimraeth’s Early Access launch material confirms nine pets with different abilities. The evidence reviewed here documents four examples—Fangra Cub, Moon Cat, Carrion Parrot and Ember Hound—plus one acquisition route. It does not establish the names and details of all nine.

Official pet count checked September 16, 2026. Ability, acquisition and utility details are attributed to community or third-party Early Access sources and may change with patches.

What is confirmed about the Early Access pet system

Mudtek’s September 2 Early Access content announcement says the launch build includes nine unique pets with different abilities. That is the strongest current evidence for the total, but the announcement does not name every pet or publish a complete ability table.

ClaimEvidence and limit
Nine unique petsOfficial launch-content announcement; the complete nine-name roster is not listed there.
Three public categoriesA developer-style community reply describes birds, dogs and cats as the current categories; it does not publish the complete species list.
Pets can fight and level upThe same reply says each pet has a combat ability that can level up.
Pets can return loot to the player’s baseThe reply says a pet can carry loot and find a free chest; exact capacity and transfer limits are not established in the official announcement.
Four species and abilities belowObserved and described by a third-party Early Access guide; this is a partial set, not the full official roster.

One documented route to the Fangra Cub

The detailed third-party pet guide describes a Myrll quest line that leads to the Fangra Cub. Treat this as one observed route in the guide author’s Early Access playthrough, rather than a universal template for acquiring every companion.

[4]
  1. Progress far enough to meet Myrll and complete the request that allows Myrll to join the Sanctum.
  2. Repair the bridge used to reach the Beast-Occupied Ruins.
  3. Defeat the Alpha Wolf in those ruins. The guide says ordinary wolves did not satisfy this step.
  4. Return to Myrll and use the resulting pet option to obtain the Fangra Cub. The guide observed a 50G cost.

The source does not provide a stable in-game quest title or a complete UI transcript, so those details are not supplied here. Prices, wording and progression gates can change during Early Access.

Four documented pet examples

PetDocumented abilityObserved values and role
Fangra CubSavage LeapStrike Damage, Bleeding and Chill; 50G in the captured Myrll trade; Level 4 showed “Max Level” in that run.
Moon CatAstral PurrRestores Concentration over two seconds; the captured screen showed Concentration 20 at Level 1 with 0/100 XP, and the guide reports stronger restoration after leveling.
Carrion ParrotCarrion SweepAgainst a Bleeding enemy, adds +1 Bleeding to the target and +2 to one nearby enemy; the captured Level 1 screen showed 17/100 XP and Bleeding 2.
Ember HoundAbility name not capturedDashes through enemies, leaves a Fire pit, deals Fire Damage and applies Burning; 50G in the captured Myrll trade.

The guide also records custom names—Nero, Gizmo and Beansprout—alongside species labels. Search and compare by species, not by those individual names. All numeric values above are observations from one Early Access guide and can change.

Combat, levels, inventory and Courier

The community and third-party descriptions agree on a broader companion role: a pet joins combat, gains levels and can carry items in its own inventory. Courier sends pet-carried items toward an available Sanctum chest while the player remains in the field.

[3][4]
  • The developer-style community reply says multiple pets can be out at home, while the adventure use is one companion carrying loot and returning to the player.
  • Check the pet’s ability text against the status effects your character can reliably create.
  • Use pet storage and Courier as field-management tools. Courier cannot create space in a full destination chest; the detailed guide observed chest-capacity limits.
  • Expect active companions to gain experience through adventuring. The Pet Pen stores inactive companions, but the captured test did not establish reliable passive XP.
[2][3][4]

The reviewed sources do not provide a complete official rule for every inventory limit, Courier cooldown, passive-XP rate or future roster change. The guide also records an unidentified defensive companion whose barrier lasted roughly three seconds after the player took damage; its species and ability name were not captured.

Choose a pet by the problem your build needs to solve

Build or field needDocumented example to inspect
Apply Bleeding and ChillFangra Cub’s Savage Leap.
Restore ConcentrationMoon Cat’s Astral Purr.
Exploit an existing Bleed effectCarrion Parrot’s Carrion Sweep.
Add Fire Damage and BurningEmber Hound’s dash and fire-pit effect.
Carry loot back to baseCourier utility described for pets generally.
[4][3]

This comparison identifies supported roles; it is not a damage ranking. A “best pet” claim would require consistent level, gear, target and patch testing across the full nine-pet roster, which the current sources do not provide.

[4][1]

What the current sources still do not establish

  • The names, acquisition steps and exact ability text for the other five pets implied by the official total.
  • A complete official table of pet levels, inventory capacity, Courier limits and Pet Pen experience rates.
  • Patch-stable prices, quest titles and prerequisites for every companion.
  • A controlled best-pet ranking across builds and combat situations.
[1][3][4]

Those gaps are kept visible so that four documented examples are not presented as a complete nine-pet encyclopedia. For build planning, use the current in-game tooltip as the final check when a patch changes an effect or requirement.
