Dimraeth crafting connects recipe discovery, consumables and your home’s production facilities. Craft from the backpack or at a suitable station, unlock recipes through exploration or valid ingredient combinations, then use the recipe list to make them again.
System guide based on Mudtek’s January 20, 2026 design talk and September Early Access store description, reviewed September 16. Older recipes and roadmap statements are labeled below; exact launch recipes are not assumed unchanged.

Discover a recipe, then make it again
Mudtek describes two ways to discover recipes. Some are found while exploring; others are learned by placing a valid combination of ingredients into crafting slots. A successful combination both crafts the item and unlocks its recipe.
[1]- Use backpack crafting or the station required by the item. The developer’s description explicitly says many recipes require a particular station.
- Place your ingredients into the crafting slots to try a combination. This is the experimental discovery route, not a guarantee that any combination works.
- When the combination matches a valid recipe, craft the item and unlock that recipe.
- Use the unlocked entry in the recipe list for repeat crafting, rather than re-entering the combination from memory.
If a combination does not produce the expected item, first distinguish an unrecognized recipe from a station requirement. The design talk confirms both constraints, but it does not supply a universal failure message or a current ingredient-by-ingredient troubleshooting table.
[1]Follow ingredient connections in the Crafting Codex
The Crafting Codex can show how many undiscovered recipes involve a particular item. For recipes you have already unlocked, it also shows the other ingredients in that chain. This gives you a reason to keep investigating an ingredient even after you know one use for it.
[1]Mudtek uses tender berries as the example: an ingredient in your potion supply may still have undiscovered recipes attached to it. The Codex points to remaining possibilities; it is not a promise that every ingredient has an unlimited number of combinations.
[1]Food, potions, cures and offensive tools
| Supply | Role in Mudtek’s design description |
|---|---|
| Food | Satiation plus timed percentage-based buffs, including health, concentration, stamina, regeneration or elemental resistance. |
| Recovery potions | Quick recovery of health, concentration or stamina. Some potions can be thrown to help another player. |
| Short buff potions | Temporary combat boosts, distinct from the longer preparation role of food. |
| Cures | A response to dangerous buildup such as bleed or poison. |
| Knives and elemental flasks | Additional offensive options, including ranged pressure, area damage or status application. |
In the January design talk, food buffs average around 30 minutes. That is an approximate duration from that announcement, not a rule that every meal in the launch version lasts exactly half an hour. Read the individual item description for its actual effect.
[1]The developer’s example preparation loop is to identify the damage type of a difficult encounter, return home, choose a useful meal from unlocked recipes, restock and go back. Preparation supplements playing the encounter’s mechanics; the announcement does not claim it guarantees a win.
[1]Build a repeatable supply of ingredients
The base supports production through stations, storage, farms and other structures. Mudtek describes farming as building a plot, planting seeds and harvesting them when mature. Wells and animal or monster pens are additional examples of structures that provide basic resources over time.
[1]Recruiting allies also connects your home to spell progression. The design talk describes NPCs making spellbooks from materials gathered from monsters and bosses; story and quest progress open further options. September’s Steam description likewise connects facility investment with new shop stock, crafting services and farming plots.
[1][2]Crafting is described as optional but useful. In the January design, most—if not all—essential supplies can instead be bought from NPCs at a premium, sometimes later than a crafting-focused player obtains them. That is the developer’s qualified description, not a guarantee of a specific vendor stock or unlock level.

Recognizing older station and recipe lists
| Station in the older wiki reference | What its list contains |
|---|---|
| Cooking | Cooked meat, teas and other meals. |
| Crafting Bench | Tools, boards, gloves and bandages. |
| Alchemy Table | Potions, extracts, cures and flasks. |
| Personal Crafting | Rope, throwables and several spellbooks. |
The older wiki page lists 48 base recipes across those four headings. This demo-era reference helps explain older guide terminology; it is not a complete recipe database for Early Access.
[3]Equipment crafting: keep the dates separate
The January 20 design talk says equipment crafting had not yet been added and describes a later endgame system. The September Steam copy refers to crafting equipment and a complete crafting loop. The January statement cannot establish that equipment crafting is still absent in September.
[1][4]Neither the old roadmap paragraph nor the broad store description establishes a complete current equipment recipe list or the proposed repeat-crafting system for optimizing item rolls. Use those sources for their dated scope; do not infer a particular gear recipe, station or reroll mechanic from them.
